Description

The Planning and Community Development Department is hosting a debris removal event on Saturday,  June 26th from 9 am to 1 pm. A debris drop off station will be placed at the Town parking lot located on the corner of East Iredell Avenue and North Church Street.

Accepted debris will be anything the Town does not pick up on a regular basis (i.e. construction materials, tires, electronics, etc.). Volunteers will be stationed there to help citizens unload the debris from their vehicles to the dumpsters. Town trucks and volunteers will also be utilized to pick up debris. Citizens that are unable to move their items can call the department to ensure a truck comes by their house to remove the debris.

At the end of the day, staff will take what is not accepted by the private dumpster companies that have been hired to the Mooresville Transfer Station.

PLEASE NOTE: Lunch will be provided for participants!

If you have any questions please contact the Event Leader Becca McSwain at 704-799-4020 or bmcswain@mooresvillenc.gov

Thank you for volunteering to help the environment and help clean up the community!
