Selma Burke Recreation Center

Who We Are

The Selma Burke Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art public recreation facility that connects people with parks and play everyday. Selma Burke Recreation Center is named after Selma Burke, who was born and raised here in Mooresville N.C, and is a distinguished artist that is best known for designing the profile of Franklin Roosevelt used on the dime. We provide opportunities to meet your neighbors, improve your health, enjoy nature, learn something new and develop hobbies for a lifetime! In 2020, the Selma Burke Recreation Center completed renovations that included the following amenities: multi-purpose room, classrooms, kitchens, outdoor restrooms, gym, picnic shelter, playground, multi-purpose field, and a walking trail.
